2000
The 3rd edition of
the pioneer and largest Adventure Race in Brazil took place between October
23 and 28 of 2000 with the participation of 33 teams, both Brazilian and
international. During these 6 days of competition the athletes performed
the following sports disciplines: orienteering, trekking, mountain biking,
canoeing (Canadian canoe), swimming, rafting, coasteering and vertical
techniques (rappel, highline or Tyrolean traverse and ascending with jumar),
from the southern part of the coastal region of Rio State to the northern
region of the São Paulo State coastline. The teams were composed of 5
contestants, 3 pertaining to the competing team, with at least 1 woman
and 2 persons in the support crew. THE
