EMA 2001 - ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT

 

The EMA 2001 Amazon race will be held in the region of the Tapajós Pole, in the State of Para, between November 23rd and December 2nd. As in the previous races, each participating team must perform a social project that this year, 2001, consists of donating the following medicines:
- Donating 4 boxes, with 6 pills each, of MEBENDAZOL 100mg.
- Donating 3 flasks, of 15ml each, of PARACETAMOL 200mg/ml drops.
- Donating 1 box with 30 tabs of CAPTOPRIL 25mg.
- Donating 3 flasks, of 20ml each, of DIPIRONA sódica 500mg/ml.
- Donating 1 box with 15 capsules of AMOXILINA 500mg.
- Donating 2 boxes, with 20 tabs each, of SULFAMETOXAZOL 800mg + TRIMETROPRIMA160mg

- In an attitude without precedent in adventure races, Checkpoint 6, the organization’s and the journalists’ headquarters will become the home to 150 needy families. Situated at the 90 kilometer mark on regional roadway PA 254, and 80 kilometers from the town of Monte Alegre in an area of 12 thousand square meters, the people who will occupy it, apart from already enjoying the improvements made by the Government of Pará, like the maintenance of 40 kilometers of the roadway and a 13-kilometer extension of electric services, will have schools, health stations and commercial establishments available there.
